Mermaids are a symbol of beauty. They are normally characterized as rebellious, or care-free, going where they want when they want. They typically have lovely voices that may tempt sailors into the ocean. I drew Nerida with vivid colors you typically see in mermaids with just a bit of grey in her hair, to show she is aging with all the grace and beauty you would expect from a mermaid.
